Lead-Based Paint Inspections
For Your Home Or Business

Lead-Based Paint can be easily identified through a simple Lead-Based Paint Building Inspection. A Lead-Based Paint Building Inspection (also referred to as a Lead-Based Paint Survey) is conducted to determine whether or not a facility has lead-based paint and/or to verify the locations of any lead-based paint.

ENSPEC Environmental Safety Consulting, Inc. offers an extensive and complete Lead-Based Paint Building Inspection, conducted according to the guidelines and procedures outlined in the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development's document entitled: Guidelines for the Evaluation and Control of Lead-Based Paint Hazards in Housing, published June 1995 (Revised 1997) and with the care, diligence and skill of reputable professionals.

"State Of The Art" Lead Paint Detection Methods
X-Ray Fluorescence

ENSPEC utilizes an X-Ray Florescence Lead Paint Analyzer (XRF) to identify lead-based paint during the inspection. Through the use of XRF technology, ENSPEC is able to provide real time / same day results to the concerned client.
The XRF is fast, requires no sample preparation and is non-destructive.

  • Fast: The XRF gives instant readings on-site. Preliminary results are available at the time of the inspection. And, there is practically no wait time for the drafting of a final report.
  • No Sample Preparation: This relieves the inspector from having to take bulk samples (i.e. paint chips) to send out to a laboratory.
  • Non-Destructive: Without the need to take paint chips, there is no unsightly marring of painted surfaces.
